What is Icy Strait Point?
Icy Strait Point is a purpose-built cruise destination beside the historic Hoonah cannery site, owned and operated by Huna Totem Corporation — an Alaska Native village corporation for shareholders with ties to Hoonah and the Glacier Bay area. Ships dock at Ocean/Adventure Landing or Wilderness Landing; most calls are walk-off docks rather than tenders.
Hoonah is the nearby living Tlingit community (often cited as Alaska’s largest Tlingit village), about a short shuttle or roughly 1–2 miles away. Excursions may stay on the Icy Strait Point complex, visit Hoonah, or head into Chichagof Island wilderness — three related but distinct contexts.
